Why do we say Cheers?
Why do we say Cheers?
Because... we have five senses.... Eyes can see, Nose can smell, Tongue can taste, Hand can touch and feel what we hold on ... But Ears.... they need to hear... thats why we say cheers before drinking !

Live concerts and Hit songs
This post has come in place due to my confusion or dilemma ...
We all love to be part of live concerts. Nice auditorium, so many fans, orchestra etc... Finally, the singer or the main performer splits the concert into two. Some songs he wish to sing and some songs which fans fell in love with...
Every performer has got his set of hit songs... Fans to are asking for it, gets obliged.. Example - Aruna Sairam - Maadu meikkum, Pankaj Udhas - Chandi jaisa, jiyo to jiye ...
My point of confusion goes like this...
1. If we wish to listen to only some 10 songs from every singer... why dont we listen in CD, sitting in our comfy bean bag with chips & coffee ?
2. Are we afraid of experimentation of some new techniques or raga ?
3. or Is that we are being tuned to "herd mentality" ?
Do respond with your views...

Sensex Outlook - Oct 2010
Sensex zoomed in September despite the global concerns, yen outlook or retail shareholder selling of 13,000 crores.
My prediction for october - Downward bias.
High range 21650 - 21850 range; strong resistance at 20850-950 range.
Downside of 3 to 5% can be expected if FIIs turn as sellers., then we can test 18500 to 19200 range.
My pick for the month - Buy Century Textiles - Entry 500 to 508 - upside 535 to 548; SL 492-495;
Sell Bank of India 540 to 548 range for a target of 503-511 range SL 565.
Update on Oct 6 - BoI stop loss triggered.

Enthiran - Movie Opinion
Here I go with Enthiran's Movie opinion (Saw it in Pune, E Square on Oct 1)
1. One line story - Scientist Rajni creates a Robo Rajni, Sabotage happens and how the problem is resolved...
2. Thalaivar rocks - style, acting or voice modulation - supreme
3. Ash - subtle show
3. Supporting cast - barring Danny no one gets much space., blink and gone !
4. Technical stuff - superb - be it photography, action scenes. Graphics work is the backbone of the movie.
5. Shankar - Lot of people call dream story and mess up, this man consistently delivers. His narration in second half has always been his strength - be it, gentleman, indian, jeans or anniyan. Enthiran rocks due to the tight story line with simple twists and tales. Presentation style is superb.
6. Rahman - Kilimanjaro sounds the best in cinemas. Very different back ground score this time with loads of metalic sounds
7. Negative - Too much of tech jargons...yes, some ten-fifteen minutes of length cut could have been better.
8. Thanx to the producers, sun pictures, who didnt blink their eyes on budget. Welcome support to the Indian cinemas..i should say..
9. Rajni fans are so smart and intelligent - on the scene when Rajni asks Ash to kiss., nice sound came "Kabardhar".... all had a hearty laugh.
10. Over all, a must watch in theatre - to experience the ICON's stylist ever show ever on silver screens...

Maharashtra Tourism
As most of you are aware, i am working out of Pune for the past 7 months. I managed to visit many places over this period and wanted to share my experience with Maharashtra tourism. what to expect, what not to expect...
1. Maharashtra is filled with mountains and hence lot of Ghat roads. Pls do not ever think that you can cross one KM in one minute at 110km speed in your car. 150 KM trip will take 5 hours... so pls be prepared for that. Dont even take the word of your tour operator.
2. Roads are mostly bad due to heavy rain effect, ghat related water stagnation etc. So, do keep your backup tyre intact.
3. Food availability is very stable. One will get Pav misal (bread with gravy), vada pav, rice, dal anywhere inside the state. Same with Non-Veggies.
4. Climate is mostly dry. Rainy season is July, Aug and September. Winter in December & January.
5. Accomodation booking to be done in advance... Payment (50%) has to be transferred while booking. Lot of people travel on three day week ends. So., planning has to be done atleast one month before.
6. Coastal towns are very sleepish but homely. Not knowing Hindi / Marathi will be an issue to interact. Dont expect too much of facilities and blindly trust the web page pictures. They are often misleading.
7. People are relatively nice and not at all arrogant. They are willing to guide and help while you are on the road.
8. MTDC runs resorts at decent rates everywhere.
9. Price of a "Guide" services is very very affordable in historical places. Pls pls use them.
